As part of a broader refurbishment project, a prominent Rowley Regis restaurant approached Ardo Group with a requirement for expanded freezer storage to support their high-demand kitchen operations.
The client needed a new freezer room integrated into their existing premises without disrupting the daily operation. The existing cold storage facilities no longer met the demands of their growing menu and customer base. The restaurant needed a tailored solution that would integrate with the ongoing renovations and support future business growth.
The primary challenge involved structural access. The only viable location for the new freezer room required creating a passage through a 600mm thick masonry wall. With this in mind, we designed and installed a custom-built external freezer room measuring 5m x 2m x 2.4m, tailored to the client’s space and operational requirements. To ensure optimal performance and reliability, the unit featured a split refrigeration system for energy efficiency and reduced noise and a durable EPDM Skyguard weatherproofing membrane, enhancing thermal protection and long-term resilience.
The new freezer room now supports the restaurant’s busy kitchen with reliable, high-capacity cold storage, contributing to smoother operations and improved service delivery as well as improving stock rotatoin and minimising food waste.
